Man Held With Banned Boostin Injections

The Pakistan Customs Enforcement Karachi seized Boostin injections worth Rs15 million on August 17.

Syed Irfan Ali, a Customs spokesman, reported that Collector Customs Enforcement Basit Maqsood Abbasi received a tip-off about an attempt to smuggle Boostin injections from Balochistan to Karachi by bus. He instructed Muhammad Raza Naqvi to prevent this smuggling attempt and directed staff at ASO checkposts to enhance vigilance, conducting thorough searches of buses arriving from Balochistan.

Following a detailed investigation, officials recovered 3,250 banned Boostin injections from a secret compartment in the bus. These injections, used to increase milk production in cows and buffaloes, are harmful to the animals and pose health risks to humans. The seized injections are valued at Rs15,000,000.

An accused had been formally arrested, and a case was registered under the Customs Act. The competent court had remanded the accused, and further investigation was ongoing.

The seized bus and injections had been transferred to the ASO warehouse.
