SUKKUR: The mentally challenged girl, who was gang-raped in Larkana’s Ratodero area a day ago, died in a Larkana hospital on 13-July-2025.
After being gang-raped by the accused, the victim girl was taken to the Chandka Medical College (CMC) Hospital in Larkana, where she breathed her last.
Larkana police claimed to have killed the main accused involved in the incident in an alleged encounter. Larkana SSP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry said that the accused in the case, identified as Rizwan alias Kallo Luhar, was killed and a pistol was recovered from him, while his accomplices managed to flee.
He said that when the police attempted to arrest the accused, they opened fire on the personnel, triggering an exchange of fire, however the accused was killed in the firing of his accomplice who managed to escape. Raids were being conducted to arrest the accused at large, the SSP added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the police on Saturday found the victim girl unconscious near Ratodero Stadium in Larkana and shifted her to the CMC hospital. The initial medical report revealed that the girl had been sexually assaulted.
Asad Abro, maternal uncle of the victim girl, said that his mentally challenged niece left her house near Qamber Naka the last day, adding that he had registered a complaint with the police about her disappearance.
He further said that on Saturday, the police informed him that they had found his niece unconscious.
