Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Mohammad Junaid Ghaffar, inaugurated the e-courts, e-kiosk, and e-certified copies of order projects on September 10 to digitize the judicial processes.
He appreciated the initiatives and emphasized that these reforms present a decisive step towards a transparent, efficient and technology driven judicial system in Sindh, setting benchmarks for courts across Pakistan.
At a meeting of the administration of an IT committee, three key initiatives — e-CTC (certified true copy), e-courts, e-filing and e-services and e-Kiosk (touch screen self-service) smart rostrum (digital access to justice) — were presented and they were formally inaugurated by the chief justice.
The e-CTC system will integrate document scanning, uploading and verification through the document management system, streamlining the process of obtaining certified copies.
The e-courts project will shift the judicial process from paper-based to digital platforms under which advocates will be able to file cases online, track objections and receive order electronically.
