A Brochure On Roadmap For Addressing Domestic Violence In Sindh

Domestic violence is a complex issue in Pakistan, worsened by events like Sindh’s catastrophic 2022 monsoon and the COVID-19 pandemic. Pakistan ranks 145th out of 146 countries in global gender equality, with women facing limited health services, child marriage risks, and labor force exclusion. Sindh led efforts to combat domestic violence through the Domestic Violence Act 2013 and Rules 2016, introducing mechanisms like protection committees and court petitions to safeguard vulnerable individuals. Domestic violence encompasses physical, emotional, economic, and other forms of abuse targeting women, children, and marginalized groups.
