A sessions court has cancelled the interim pre-arrest bail granted to a suspect in a case pertaining to sexually abusing two teenage boys.
Arslan Khan has been booked for allegedly forcing two boys, aged 14 and 16, to engage in sexual acts with each other, filming their ordeal and later assaulting them within the jurisdiction of the Jackson police station in October this year. The suspect was granted pre-arrest interim bail against a surety of Rs50,000 on Oct 22.
Additional Sessions Judge Irshad Hussain of the Model Court for Gender-Based Violence (West) dismissed an application of the suspect seeking confirmation of his interim bail and recalled its earlier order.
The judge observed that the offence was serious in nature and involved the victims who were teenagers, adding that the criminals involved in sexual abuse and blackmail of minors are required to be dealt with an iron hand. “There are reasonable grounds to believe that applicant/accused has committed the alleged offence punishable under Section 377 of PPC and he also committed offence of sexual abuse which is punishable under Section 377-B of PPC,” he noted, dismissing the bail application.
Furthermore, the judge said the mobile phone of the suspect which the victims had managed to take into their possession while escaping from the place of the occurrence was produced in the court by the complainant, adding that the video found in the device showed both the victims engaging in sexual acts with each other in a frightened condition.
According to the prosecution, suspect Arsalan took his teenaged neighbour and his friend to his traffic police office near family quarters, Keamari, where he forced them to remove their clothes and engage in immoral acts at gunpoint. He filmed their ordeal before sexually abusing them.
An FIR was lodged under Sections 377 (unnatural offence) and 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or for shorter terms) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
