Students across the megalopolis took a significant step towards their academic goals as the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) launched the annual Intermediate examinations 2025 on Monday. The morning shift featured Mathematics Paper-I (for failures) for Pre-Engineering students.
Chairman of BIEK Ghulam Hussain Sohoo, Secretary Muhammad Kashif Siddiqui, and Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid visited the APWA Government College for Women in Karimabad to inspect the examination process.
The Chairman expressed overall satisfaction with the facilities provided to students, the presence of invigilation staff, and the smooth and transparent conduct of the exams.
He instructed the centre superintendent to immediately repair any broken fans in examination rooms.
Speaking to the media, Chairman Sohoo said that holding transparent exams is the Board’s top priority.
He affirmed that all necessary measures have been completed to ensure an organised and fair examination process.
He added that a strict zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against cheating, and a robust crackdown on cheating mafias will be launched.
Any student caught cheating could face cancellation of their paper and a ban from appearing in exams for one to three years.
