To raise awareness for breast cancer, people from different walks of life, participated in different activities held around Nishan-e-Pakistan (Sea view) including cycle rides, walks, and runs on October 13. The event was organized by Sports in Pakistan in collaboration with Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) to join the global Pinktober movement, promoting breast cancer awareness and support.
The partnership aimed to educate communities on early detection, screening, and treatment options, ultimately saving lives. Former parliamentarian Sharmila Farooqi, chief guest of Pinktober stated: ” Today, we stand together to promote awareness about breast cancer, support survivors and inspire hope. Let us continue to empower women and communities through education, early detection and unwavering solidarity.
