The body of a man was recovered from a house in Deen Muhammad Goth in the Manghopir area on 13-July-2025.
Upon receiving the report, a police team arrived at the property and summoned the Crime Scene Unit to collect forensic evidence. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. According to police, the man had been murdered and it appeared that the murder was carried out by his second wife, her former husband, and her son and daughter.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old Ayub Lashari, son of Sobat Khan. Police said he was tortured and then killed by slashing his throat with a piece of glass during a domestic dispute. The slain man had been living at his brother’s house and had married his brother’s mother-in-law as his second wife. Her son, allegedly involved in the murder, was also residing in the same house.
According to police, on July 12, Ayub’s brother had gone to drop off his first wife at their village.Upon returning, he found Ayub’s second wife missing along with his own wife and brother-in-law with Ayub’s body lying inside the house.
Police said the suspects included Ayub’s second wife Lal Dini, her ex-husband Gul Muhammad, and her children Rabail and Zahida. Zahida is also the wife of Ayub’s brother, adding complexity to the case. Police also recovered a wooden club and shards of a broken mirror from the crime scene believed to have been used in the murder. Raids are being carried out to arrest the suspects.
