A move aimed to enhance transparency and accountability in wage disbursements. The caretaker Sindh government has issued directives to industrialists, urging them to ensure the online disbursement of salaries for industrial workers, along with the strict implementation of labour rights and relevant laws and regulations.
Sindh Human Rights Commission Chairperson, Iqbal Ahmed Detho, informed the meeting about complaints received from various locations, citing instances where workers were not receiving the stipulated minimum wages.
The Commission has issued notices to several industries and institutions in this regard.
