The Sindh Government has made significant strides in advancing human rights by enacting laws safeguarding children, workers, and reproductive health rights, including the Sindh Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 2015.
Sindh’s alignment with international human rights standards and the unanimous approval of the SHRC’s Strategic Plan on 24th October 2023, reflect a commitment to furthering human rights in the region.
The Sindh Human Rights Commission’s strategic plan for 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2027 aims to address human rights violations comprehensively, covering civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights.
The plan was developed through consultations with stakeholders to uphold human rights across all spheres of life in Sindh. It serves as a living document, adaptable to challenges, and emphasizes the collective efforts needed to protect and promote human rights in the region.
