Police recovered the body of a man stuffed in a sack in District Central on 14-May-2025, and confirmed that he was murdered by his own sons. According to police, the deceased was identified as Khawar Anjum, a traditional healer (Hakim) originally from Mirpurkhas. Investigators revealed that Khawar was brutally beaten and strangled to death by his sons, Ibrahim and Afzal.
The suspects attempted to dispose of the body by transporting it in a sack on a motorcycle. However, they were intercepted by the police mid-route. Upon checking the sack, officers discovered the body inside.
Both sons had been taken into custody. The police stated that the family had been living together in a single room at Madrassa Zakariya Khairia. “The motive behind the murder is still under investigation,” said the spokesperson for District Central police. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances.
