DADU: Two girls, aged 17 and 18 years, were on August 16 reported missing in different localities of Jamshoro and their families feared they had been abducted.
In the first case, Gul Shafiq Malik complained to the Jamshoro police station that his 17-year-old sister Afshan Malik had gone missing. She was being harassed by a man, Hanif Lashari, and the family suspected he had abducted her, he said, adding that Lashari would stalk her and intimidate her during her walk to and from school.
Mohammad Soomar Chhanio, a wireless operator posted at Kotri police station, also lodged a case that his 18-year-old daughter, Shehnaz Chhanio, had been kidnapped by two unidentified men. Police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the girl’s disappearance, said police officials.
