A man was shot dead in Orangi Town Sector 11 1/2 allegedly by his wife over a domestic dispute. According to Chhipa officials, the body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where the deceased was identified as 35-year-old Hussain. According to Iqbal Market SHO Shahbaz Yousuf, Hussain’s wife Noor was involved in the shooting. During a heated argument, Noor allegedly opened fire on her husband, killing him on the spot.
Initial investigations revealed that the pistol used in the shooting belonged to Hussain himself. Police arrived at the scene, arrested Noor and recovered the murder weapon. Police also disclosed that Noor had filed for Khula (divorce) from her husband and Hussain had a criminal record.
Police added that on September 28, during a previous dispute over the Khula issue, Hussain had opened fire on Noor’s house, injuring her father and two others. Further investigations are underway.
