“Reproductive rights are human rights” is a handbook published jointly by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), and the Danish Institute for Human Rights to equip National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) with tools and guidance on how to promote and protect reproductive rights. It explores a human rights-based approach to development and the application of human rights standards and principles to reproductive rights. It provides information on how NHRIs can work within the reproductive rights field through activities like legislative monitoring, complaints handling, human rights education and collaboration with international bodies.
