Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of SHRC and his team visited Civil Hospital Jacobabad and witnessed the challenging situation facing shortages in medical staff and facilities aggravated by the closure of Zakat funds since 2018. He expressed deep concern about the hospital’s deteriorating state and vowed to initiate comprehensive reforms to rectify these shortcomings, emphasizing the importance of accessible quality healthcare for all citizens. Moreover, issues regarding doctors working at other facilities without proper authorization were brought to light, Mr. Detho emphasized the necessity for improved oversight and accountability mechanisms. The community’s health and well-being hang in the balance, urging collective efforts to advocate for change and urgently support Civil Hospital Jacobabad.
