Policy Brief on Forced Conversion

“Policy Brief on Forced Conversion” is a publication by National Commission on the Rights of Child, Pakistan (NCRC) which is the policy brief created after the case of Arzoo Raja. The Policy Brief touched upon the gaps in existing laws prohibiting ‘forced conversions’ in light of international obligations and analysed the causes or underlying factors of the phenomenon. The report makes recommendations for specific actions by various stakeholders to help stop forced conversions of girls belonging to other faiths so that they can enter into a marriage contract.
